Burcu BILEN
About Me

Burcu Bilen

- At age 11, I enrolled at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, where I was trained as a concert pianist and specialized in piano and classical music for my secondary and high school education. Later, I earned a bachelor’s degree in modern dance from Yildiz Technical University

- I performed as a professional ballet dancer with “Contemporary Ballet in Istanbul” and worked with the world-renowned “Fire of Anatolia” dance group for 2 years. During my career, I also had the opportunity to choreograph and compose music for other various performances.

- Between 2013 and 2019, I founded and operated Era Art & Burcu Bilen Piano and Ballet School in Istanbul. I taught piano and ballet while managing the school, preparing students for Ministry of Education-approved art programs, Vaganova Ballet Certificate exams, and other music qualifications.

- In the summer of 2019, I moved to Brighton, where I have continued to teach piano and develop artistic projects.

- I have been teaching piano since 2006. Many of my students have been accepted into university music departments and conservatories. All of my students have successfully passed their Royal Academy piano exams. I am deeply passionate about teaching piano. Outside of my teaching hours, I continue to practice and explore new musical ideas, which helps me stay inspired and provide fresh perspectives to my students. This dedication ensures I remain engaged and effective in my role as a teacher
